I can not take any of the credit for this amazing ice engineering. Once a year, a one night only event, on the Isle of Lakes in Minneapolis, the Luminary Loppet puts on a candle lit ice fest.
Months of work, time, and volunteering go into creating this amazing spectacular night.
A trail around the circumference of the lake leads viewers by a series of ice cylinders lit by candle to different major themed locations: an enchanted forest, an ice stone hedge, a block pyramid, live music (with ice instruments), and frozen sailboat sculptures.
On top of the amazing winter made sights we got a good snow shoe workout:
Happy the temps weren’t below zero as they often have been this winter.
That's really awesome. We have Snowfest in Frankenmuth where they do ice and snow sculptures, but nothing like this. Looks like it was a great time!
Definitely fun way to enjoy winter night
