Out of Africa (1985)
First of all, this won 7 Oscars -- SEVEN. That alone says something significant. Any one component of this movie would make a good standalone movie in its own right -- complex love story, astonishingly beautiful landscapes, historically informative and (mostly) accurate narrative, among others. Here you get it all!
