What's hiding under plain sight?

For the longest time, I thought beauty was only superficial.
I thought to be even remotely considered by the opposite sex, I had to have a supermodel body and a really pretty face.
Maybe I do, maybe I don’t, but I’ve always let my insecurities rule over me.
There are days, weeks even, when I go into a really dark place, and wonder if I’m even good enough.
I won’t lie, I still feel that way a lot.
But growing up I’m learning that a lot of people will appreciate you for your looks, and a lot of people will shame you for them.
I’ve come across my fair share of people who are considered to be “attractive” but can be so shallow.
I’ve let a lot of people shame my body, I’ve taken it in, and a lot of us have been there.
This might come off as cliché, but it is important.
It doesn’t remotely even matter how good your features are, it doesn’t matter how much money you make, how many friends you have, what kind of clothes you wear, or anything else.
Life is too short to care about any of that you know? All that matters is that you’re a kind person, a genuine person, who cares about the people despite of how much damage others have done to you. It matters that you see the good in people when they can’t see it themselves. That is what makes you human. That is what re-kindles my faith in humanity, not how I look.
I’ve had a rough week, but I feel good now. I like my body.
I like my face.
I like that I can hold up a conversation with just about anyone for a long time.
I like that I can be optimistic in the face of total dread.
I like myself.
I think I’m beautiful and I think you all are beautiful.

Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't been active recently!
It's been a rough couple of days, but you can expect more posts from now on! This was more of a rant, quite similar to the previous post, but I tend to write about the turbulence in my life, and this was a pressing issue. Really hope you like it!
xo.

Thank you very much! You've a good blog! Interested to see what else you have xx

It's all about charisma. Marilyn Monroe knew how to turn it on and off. Apparently, no one gave her a second glance when she turned her charisma off.

But when she turned it on...

That's what I'm trying to say, but as important as charisma is, not everyone can pull it off. Some people are just shy or not that interested but that shouldn't mean they're not amazing. Marlyn manroe was one hell of a woman though.

Your pictures are beautiful and you accept that :)👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you very much ^.^

Some wise words there and I agree! Most people waste a lot of time on very trivial matters.

It doesn’t remotely even matter how good your features are, it doesn’t matter how much money you make, how many friends you have, what kind of clothes you wear, or anything else.
Life is too short to care about any of that you know?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

It's good to have you back and posting. Looking forward to your next blog.

Thank you! It really helps when people relate to what you write! I hope my blogs can help people relate. :')
