Position #4. Designated Survivor

This is just one of many series that I have seen on Netflix, I must say that I am fan of this series from the first day I saw it, which was actually the day of its premiere. The plot of this story falls into the category of Political Drama or at least that is how it is cataloged by most critics who have given their opinion about it. Currently Designated Survivor has a season of 21 episodes and a second one which is currently been broadcast.

Plot.

Designated Survivor Tells the story of Tom Kirkman, the Secretary of Urbanism and Housing of the White House, but at the same time he was the Designated Survivor of the cabinet in function. In case that the president dies, the Designated Survivor will be responsible for assuming the office of president.

During the night of the Union Speech, Tom was about to watch the speech on television while enjoying a few beers, when suddenly the signal fails and an explosion is heard in the distance. As Tom approached the window, he knew that his life would never be the same again.

The explosion took place in the Capitol, place where the president and the rest of the cabinet members were, who unfortunately, had been victims of a Terrorist Attack, and this is how Tom becomes the new President of the United States.

Everything pointed to the fact that this situation would cause a terrible political and social destabilization, I mean, a guy that from been a nobody becomes the president of the most powerful country in the world..... and lets not mention that already on his first day he had to deal what was the most important terrorist attack in the entire history of the nation.

Tom will have to take care of his family, he will have to make difficult decisions that will undermine his principles and most important of all this situation, rebuild a country that was devastated after a terrorist attack that took the life of the entire presidential cabinet.

On the other hand, we have the FBI and the others intelligence agencies of the nation who must find the culprits of the attack while from the White House, Tom tries that the country does not sink into a political, economic and social crisis which it will be very difficult to overcome.

Opinion.

This is one of the few series that in my life I have wanted to see more than once because seriously it is very good and from here it is 200% recommended. If the term "political drama" does not calls much your attention, calm down, at first it did not call mine aswell, but after watching the trailer and the first chapter I simply could not stop. As I mentioned before the series is still broadcast and after the December break it was announced that the next chapter would be released in March, and I can not wait, I do not know what I'm going to do jajajaja.
