Unity

The word Unity can be defined as the state where different areas or groups being joined together to form a single for the purpose of achieving one common goal.

In my field as a mathematician, when we hear or talk of unity, we are making reference to the number one(1) or several variables becoming a single variable.

Unity is a necessary tool required for success and progress in anything a group of persons are involved in. When unity is absent in a group then no progress can ever be made because it takes unity for a purpose to be achieved. Unity is necessary for progress because without unity there will be no agreement on what to make a group to achieve it's desired goals, objectives or vision.

A popular saying puts it this way; united we stand and divided we fall. This saying is very true to the later because of it's meaningfulness. When there is no unity of purpose then there will be great division of purpose which will in turn lead to catastrophic end and failure.

To further buttresses what unity is all about, let's take a look at the human structure called the body. It is the unity of all the parts of the body that leads to the proper functioning of the body as an entity. If the eyes decides not to work in a day then the whole body is in trouble, same with the legs, nose, ears and other parts of the body. So for a healthy life, all the parts of the body must be in agreement else the whole body will be sick because no part of the body can work on it's own because the assistance of the other parts is needed for efficiency of the body.

On a final note, I will like to say that for unity to be in operation then true love and understanding must be very active at the background. Love covers a lot of human errors which then gives room for understanding and then in turn brings about unity!

Let's go for what makes for unity anywhere we may found ourselves because within the confines of unity lies the peace of our lives.
