I want to introduce you to our fish tanks, we have 2. We have a large fresh water tank that has 2 Cooter turtles plus 3 adult Musk and 1 Baby Musk Turtle plus plecks and catfish. We have a smaller salt water reef tank that has corals with shrimps and a couple of fish.
1st is our Turtle tank, we have 6 Turtles in total all named after the characters from our favourite TV series Supernatural, Dean, Sam, Castiel, Crowley and Rowena with the baby called Jack. We have to put great lamps on this tank for so many hours a day as the Turtles like to bask on the ramps.
I adore Jack the baby Turtle, he thinks he's one of the big guys, he loves to come to the top of the tank and get hand fed. I spend hours watching these gorgeous animals, they are more entertaining than the TV.
We are going to have to get a bigger tank or a garden pond as the Cooters are getting quite big, those 2 are incredibly greedy, we have to be sly and put there food on the opposite side of the tank which gives us time to make sure the others are eating. I especially keep an eye on Jack, He grabs food then shoots of to hide and eat in peace then pops out for more. We do have to be careful as these just keep on eating so have to not fall for them asking for more. THey will sit in the tank with there mouths wide open.
Our second tank is smaller, this is mostly filled with corals, hubby has added shrimps and small fish. The shrimps look like there dancing, it's a lovely relaxing tank.
This tank changes everyday as the corals moves around until it finds where it wants to stay, Once the corals grow they will cover the rocks with beautiful colour. We are also going to get 2 ClownFish just Like Nemo, my little granddaughter will love this.
