There is no such thing as 'Artificial Intelligence'

There is no such thing as 'artificial intelligence'. There may very well be artificial intellectuals, or artificial intellect, but intellect and intelligence are NOT the same things. True intelligence requires the uniquely human ability to THINK and FEEL for oneself, which machines will never be able to do. They are only able to execute code and perform algorithms, but human beings are much more than just code and algorithms.

There's a reason we don't label our various PCs, tablets, and mobile phones 'intelligent beings', and that's because they do not possess the ability to think or feel for themselves. They are dead, unthinking, unfeeling, dumb pieces of machinery, and that's all they ever will be.

I've posted before that intellectuals are some of the DUMBEST people in society (see professor Neil Ferguson), and that's because many intellectuals think, and act, like machines. They are unable to tap into the creative, heart-based, spiritual intelligence that we were all endowed with at birth because they see the universe as a giant machine. They have a mechanistic interpretation of nature and the cosmos and believe the sentient beings that inhabit it are mere machines and soulless automatons, pre-determined to act and behave in a certain way, a slave to their genes.

True intelligence is the marriage of both head and heart, of intellect and empathy. The fusion of logic and creativity. Intelligence is not a computation.
