Several of us were at the mall to attend a special young man's birthday. His mama had asked me weeks earlier if I could host the birthday at my house. I would love to but was unable to find the time to cook a huge meal for some twenty plus guests. So, the venue was changed to this karaoke place that serves buffet and drinks.
This allowed everyone to just sing, eat and have great fun. The downside was the singing and loud music drowning conversation. The avid singers hardly let go of the mic and were belting several Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, even Michael Jackson and George Michael hits. Evergreen oldies were also surprisingly popular with the birthday boy. Wow, these guests sure have a wide repertoire under their belt.
