RELATIONSHIP - We Seek to Be Better/Different Than Everybody Before - (everybody compares)

For those who seeks a relationship. One that last. We all want to be better than what was before us. You don't even have to know what was good with the other one before you. But deep inside, you wish to hear words that says loud how better you are. They can be anything. From ;

"It's the first time that/I ..."
"You are the most ...."
"No one ever did that for me"
"The best ... since forever"
"With you .... it's different"
"that's the best meal someone ever have cooked for me"

You know... that kind of words. Everybody wants to hear that. Who wouldn't?
Seriously, who could not appreciate these kind of thoughts? I truly think few of things we do in a new relationship is seeking something that says we are better than what was in his/her life previously. And of course, sometimes, randomly, you can hear stories coming from the past. Things that help you to be even better.

"I'm glad you... because he/she ...."
"Better than when he/she ...."
"I hated when he/she...."
"I don't like .... because he/she...."

And there, you can compare. You do it without even notice it. It's almost unconscious. But you do. And this comes all together. You want to be better, you compare and you want to be the best like never before. Isn't the point when you seeks a potential lifetime relationship? Of course you will do mistakes, of course you will never be perfect, but at least, knowing the past helps you not reproduce things that have been toxic before you. You don't even have to change anything about your true self, just refraining things that you know that has been bad before you. At the end, with you engage in a serious relationship, the only thing you could ever want if you feel that way, if you feel good enough to have that hope "this is it" , it's to be the one, like no one before ;)
