Peptic ulcer :

An ulcer is a hole that forms when the lining of the digestive tract is destroyed by acidic digestive juices. Ulcers can form in the stomach wall (gastric ulcer), duodenum **(first part of the small intestine)** or esophagus (tube from the mouth to the stomach). Symptoms: burning or throbbing pain from the stomach but may radiate into the stomach. In general, this pain subsides after eating and reappears between meals or during the night.
