Many people could say: it has riches, it has a president that is not ours, it has riches, people live better, have riches, have a very low rate of unemployment and we can not fail to mention its many riches.
And the truth is that Dubai is a country that we would all like to visit. Why? What makes it so cool? Well Dubai is the country with the best hotels that can exist. Just to mention something.
Have you noticed that when talking about Dubai, one of the first images that come to mind is this building?
Well that building is the Burj Al Arab hotel. It was designed to express luxury and grandeur and the truth is the first thing you notice just see the hotel from the outside. A hotel that caught my attention is the hotel Atlantis. This has a huge aquarium that can be seen almost anywhere in the hotel. And imagine spending your vacation or honeymoon in a room like this:
From Dubai you can say a lot about everything that has to do with tourism. But that is not based on this pots. Where did so much wealth come from and how does it stay? Dubai, like Venezuela began to grow when discovering oil.
But they did not stay stuck in that income. Since the year 2000, this income began to decrease until reaching only 1% of the economy of this country despite having the largest oil reserve of the Arab Emirates. What did they do then?
They implemented a series of economic strategies to survive that are based, for example, on tourism, telecommunications, aviation and the export of aluminum.
What does Dubai do with the income then? Well, he has invested them. A large part of this investment has been allocated to hotels and recreational and commercial establishments.
For example, Dubai has used part of its mining to invest it in high-value jewelry to be exported to other countries. And this is not something new, because at the beginning they subsisted on the pearls that they collected from their coasts and also used them for export.
The point of all this is simple. This country earns one currency and invests it to earn two more. Those two currencies are reversed and now you earn four, you invest and now you earn eight and so on, it was emerging and giving its inhabitants a stable life.
So comparing all this with Venezuela, WHAT HAS HAPPENED? Venezuela was like that before, we had one of the strongest currencies in the world, we received people from all over the world who came in search of a better and stable life. We were the refuge for many LATINOS. Peruvians, Dominicans, Colombians, etc. To whom Venezuela opened its doors and received with open arms. The proud truth of belonging to this country and having a history like that.
The proud truth of belonging to this country and having a history like that.
We continue with the question that is the subject of this post. What does Dubai have that does not have Venezuela? In my opinion, Venezuela has everything to be a powerful country in the world. We have one of the largest oil reserves in the world and minerals for others (gold, silver, iron, precious stones). Venezuela is a mini continent for tourism:
And in each of these ecosystems there is a great diversity of flora and fauna. Venezuela also has hotels that make you contemplate the beauty of this beautiful country wherever you go. And its gastronomy? Well unique in every way, something that will simply make you fall in love with the deliciousness of each of our typical dishes. This country has everything to be an exporting country and a tourist destination for people from all over the world.
Venezuela does not have to depend solely on oil. Because when that's over, what will we leave to our children?
Venezuela has a lot of where to get their income and give its inhabitants a stable life in an economic sense. But the bad administration and the struggle for power has made this country fall into such a precarious situation. But is all the fault of the government? No, the Venezuelan culture also has a lot to do.
Unfortunately the Venezuelan prefers to spend than invest, collect without working and many times, forget their rights for a plate of food or a quantity of money. Venezuela will grow when we learn that to emerge from the dust we have to make sacrifices, we will grow when we learn that if we do not work we do not eat, that if we do not invest we will not have profit. I'm Venezuelan and proud to be. But the truth can not be hidden. We have to change to see how our beloved Venezuela changes.
Think, meditate on all this and draw your conclusions. Why stay stuck in a single source of income if we are in a country where we live surrounded by so much wealth? Maybe we do not change this, but if we are united in one way of thinking, we will change it. We will see how the day arrives when our relatives return to their country and return to have them with us. And we will see a new Venezuela emerge from which we can say that it has riches, riches and more riches.
I liked your reflexion. Just consider for the next time: the country is United Arab Emirates, Dubai is just one of the emirates :D
