All of us have got just one beautiful life.
It feels great to think of it when we don't have anything to worry about. Right?
Now, think of how beautifully we make a mess of it.
Yes. That's the truth. We ourselves and not anyone else is responsible for it.
We make life a mess by being so protective.
We are so... so protective about everything in life when it comes to us.
All of us have talked to people who are at the lowest points in their life and we have consoled them to get them out of their situations and do better. But when it comes to us, we fear everything. We fear trying out new things, we fear to ride that bike for the first time, we fear to let that girl or boy know about our feelings, we fear failure, we fear to take that new opportunity, we fear to talk to our parents when we make a mistake, we fear everything. Right from the smallest of things to the big ones, we fear everything.
In short, we fear rejections.
This 9 letter word REJECTION makes all the difference.
The problem is we ask these questions to ourselves so often;
What if it doesn't work out? What if I get rejected? What if I fail?
On the contrary, if I say, Is there anything that is stopping you?
Well, the answer is…
NO.
Why?
Because, everything we do, we do it with fear.
Why don't we just do it and see what it has to offer us?
Why worry about it whether it will work or not?
Understand one thing. Life will not come to an end.
The problem is we think so much.
We let our minds reaffirm ourselves why it won't work.
Whenever we are in a dilemma about anything in life, instead of counsel with someone who is experienced or a master of it, we take out that alone time or so called me-time and we think about it. We are human beings and we are wired to think negatively since our childhood because of the societal imposed restrictions. That mental conditioning which has been happening for years is what makes us think so much. The moment we start doubting it, the mind gathers all the incidences in the past where it didn't work just to prove why it won't work now. We don't allow our mind to think positively and remind ourselves of good experiences where we have succeeded in life.
The way our body reacts to the food that we feed it, exactly the same way our mind reacts to the thoughts we put in it.
Thoughts are things.
We become indecisive because we talk to ourselves. Talking to ourselves or the ceiling fan won't give us the solution at all.
Acting on it will.
