The morning ritual...
- fill the kettle
- turn it on
- turn on the pc and monitors
I got to step 3 this morning and one of the monitors wouldn't turn on... the button was spongy. I pressed a little harder...
Oh bother!
Luckily it's the button itself that's broken. That doesn't mean I can fix it BUT I can shove my finger inside the 240v electric thing and toggle the PCB switch inside. One downside?
I get to spend all day with that little light, which lit up the button surround, shining straight at me. I've dragged my speaker in front of it for now :)
Black tape!!!! Lololol
Ah, but the button to turn the monitor on and off is inside that hole - if I tape over it I can't get in there any more.
@scarletLeonard suggested a post-it or something to hand down over the hole but that I can lift up.
I also tweeted at Acer since they made the monitor - you never know ;)
Well I didn't say super glue the tape down... Lolololol black tape goes on and comes off again eeeeeeasily lol
