Who are you trying to be?

in #life6 years ago

It's a question that might cause you to think about who you are, why you are the way you are? To think we are born imperfect is to believe that there is not a creator to begin with. You may or may not be a Christian, you may or may not be an atheist, which really doesn't matter if you are either. We are who we are based on our belief system. This is a conditioning that has been instilled into us since the time of our birth. When we were conceived and birthed, perfection was all part of the original intention. Perfection is only questioned when another sees differences that don't appear normal, average, or above average. Now comes in judgement. Anything "Non-Standard" or "Out of the Ordinary" is non-perfect or defective in some manner or another.

As we go through life, what others think about us, or say about us has a profound emotional affect on us. Who we are, what we are and how are we trying to navigate through this thing called life. First of all, let's get one thing absolutely clear. IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK AND YOU SHOULDN'T CARE WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK! Why capitalize the last comment? Because it's important to the rest of this post.

We are taught to conform to somebody's belief system. It could be your parents, teachers, friends, family, doesn't matter. Everybody has a belief system and they so strongly believe that theirs is the best and will do whatever it takes to get you to buy into it. What is to say that perfection is part of every belief system, or not. As we grow up and are being "Conditioned" "Trained" "Educated", all of these powers are having a profound affect on each of us. We are told to be an individual, but to care about other people. Sometimes we take it to such an extreme, we find someone we epitomize and create an idol. There may be attributes or characteristics that we are attracted to. These can be things that make us better, however, whose eyes or hearts are we trying to impress. It is now that we question original intention and perfection.

Here is a thought that sounds great, however, when trying to put into practice is more difficult than we perceive. This is an original quote. "Be the best you that you can be. Because at best, you will only be a second rate somebody else." There really isn't much more to say than that for this post. It pretty much sums up my entire thought. We see so many others on a daily basis that are not happy with who they are. So they become someone that has the characteristics of somebody else. They are becoming somebody or something they were not intended to be.

Here is another original quote I shared on another page which I think is very appropriate here. "Those who refuse to use the tools they have been given to achieve everything they ever wanted in life are destined for the promised future they have chosen." This directly reflects what happens when we question the perfection originally intended when we were created. Dreams are part of original intention. Whenever we question perfection or dreams, we are placing more belief in somebody or something else and giving more credit to somebody or something else instead of believing in our created perfection and the dreams placed within us at birth.

One of the ways that I try to keep in mind, and I'm still a work in progress, is that I will only be a second rate somebody else and if I live in my perfection, I will not swayed by the thoughts and actions of others. This is easier said than done, because I have been conditioned my entire life to believe in multiple belief systems. However, I can tell you with all honesty, when I put my taglines at the end of all of my posts or replies to others posts, I mean exactly what I write. I believe you have the power, perfection and tools you need to accomplish anything you desire. These are promises that are part of original intention. I can also honestly say that I believe in you more than you believe in yourself. My belief system is such that knowing how powerful original intention is, I can say what I just said and know in my heart, you can have all of the desires of your heart.

So I will conclude this post with the question posed in the subject line. "Who are you trying to be?"
