I wish you a quick realignment as change, particularly in a long term relationship, is hard. You are wise to become more independent which will help in most every way. After 35 years of marriage I had to make similar changes. It surely wasn't easy but close friends and family were a tremendous help. I can look back and realize how much better it is now.
