To begin, I would like to thank all of you for your wonderful birthday wishes today. Each of you is important and special to me, and those of you reading this are considered my loved ones. I appreciate everything that each of you represent in my life and think about you all every day. With that said, I can't say I've ever felt in necessary to write a birthday speech before, but the gravity of the days we live in cannot be overstated or overlooked.
The horizon times are more uncertain today, for our world, than they have ever been in my short 29-year life; and while that life so far has been quick, like all of you, I've become wiser with age. With that wisdom comes recognition: the ability to see a deeper meaning or a repeating pattern as compared to historic reference. We must use our wisdom to recognize how the future, and even the present, resemble the past.
Invoking our wisdom, let us draw parallels between the 1920's-1930's (right before WWII) and today:
-A sweeping market crash pushed the world into depression for nearly 10 years, then and now
-A powerful Asian nation is exercising territorial expansion by aggressive means, then Japan, now China
-Europe is in economic stagnation, with an angry Germany gaining political and economic power... again
-Russia is a wildcard again, likely to side against the "Allies" of today, initially, in a new world war, like they did in WWII
Seem familiar? History rhymes with itself, and this is how we can foresee upcoming conflict. We must be prepared for anything, and many of us already are.
All things considered, there are a number of positive things coming down the line as well, and so we mustn't dwell on the things that are out of our control.
One of the biggest changes coming that we can embrace is how digital currencies will alter our lives making daily life easier and revamping sectors from banking, to voting, to office work, and more!
Truly, by the definition of exciting, these are exciting times, negative or positive; and I have no doubt, that whatever may come, we will be strong and resolute. We will not go quietly into the night, we're going to live on, we're going to survive... wait... is this turning into the Independance Day movie speech? Just kidding, I love you all, and God bless.
Thank you,

Never noticed things in this way @thebeachedwhale. Meanwhile, there is big trouble brewing up between India and China and we (Nepal) are in the middle of both. If a war starts, we'll be totally crushed for no reason.
anyways, a very happy birthday to you. May positivity never leave your side. That's the only way of remaining happy despite of numerous hurdles in life I think.
The reason you see things repeating every 70-80 years is it's just enough time for the old guard to die and the New folks (those that rebelled against their elders) to take charge.
There is an old saying "Those who forget the past, are doomed to repeat it".
If we fail to sit wisely at the table of council with our elders, of course we are doomed to repeat their mistakes!
Oh, and Happy Birthday!
Have a great day.
