Breaking news. White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt has just announced that the US will no longer be funding the war in the Ukraine, but will be focusing on peace.
The reports are spawning constantly now, so I will leave you to search up the source you prefer, rather than whatever I can link here. It is obvious that the contentious discussion with Volodomyr Zelensky has impacted US policy towards that war, and President Trump has doubled down on his stated intention to bring peace to the war torn country - even if it's President Zelensky wants to keep the war going.

Trump has no say over over what gets handed over land wise. Russia won and the Russian ethnics in east Ukraine will indeed split off. Trump isn’t giving anything. Russia won it in war.

I have no confidence in that claim. During WWII Russia spent tens of millions of lives to defeat Germany. I doubt it has lost 1M so far in this war for it's survival. However, I am confident Trump seeks economic prosperity first, and if he can gain a mutual trade with China - undefiled by illegal infiltration of criminals and fentanyl across the US border - Trump will happily develop an accord with China, with Russia, and even with the EU, if such can be created without military conflict.
Now China wants to dominate Taiwan to dominate the global semiconductor market!
But, Japan intends to compete with China to dominate the global semiconductor market.
So, Japan and China want to dominate Taiwan's semiconductor industry.
Trump seeks a peaceful agreement with China for economic gain, but Japan and China are willing to start a war to seize Taiwan.
USA will get all the Oil, Gas, Minerals and Russia will get nothing. Putin was tricked by Trump. It’s all a big show.

Why does everyone insist that Zelensky is the one who wants war? There is no guarantee that Putin will stop the killing, even if Zelensky capitulates.
Putin wants to keep the war going more than anyone else involved, yet nobody asks him to withdraw the troops that are perpetuating this war. The idea that Zelensky alone determines whether or not Ukraine stays at war is not factual, or even sensible; it's a distraction from reality.
Perhaps you are unfamiliar with the genesis of the ongoing invasion of the Ukraine, and any of the voluminous evidence of the fraud and theft of the aid provided to the Ukraine by the West. Military weapons and materiel that have been sent to the Ukraine have turned up in the possession of Mexican cartels, terrorists in the EU and MENA, and fielded by the Russian MOD, and have been shown to be for sale on the dark web for pennies on the dollar.
Zelensky has been shown to have purchased a mansion in Miami for ~$40M, and another property in Egypt under a family member's name. An almost inexhaustible litany of accusations and proofs of theft by fraud, kickbacks to facilitating politicians, and the full breadth of ways in which corruption can be implemented, has been demonstrated to be the common practice of the Ukrainian government.
Additionally, after the initial burst of patriotic Ukrainian men have been killed, the Ukraine today resorts to snatch and grab operations to acquire men to throw into the trenches at the fronts. The best estimates I have seen are that >1M Ukrainians have already been killed by these means, and their surviving friends and family rightfully hold Zelensky responsible for their deaths. Absent the ongoing war Zelensky has no flow of $B's from the West to steal, and the legal processes that have been implemented in the Ukraine to prevent elections, investigations of fraud and abuse, and prosecutions for treason and murder will no longer be potential. Zelensky's pipeline of funds to steal will end, and his ability to avoid execution for his war crimes will no longer protect him. If the war ends, he will have no hope of survival except flight to some haven for criminals, such as Israel, where his mentor Ihor Kholomoisky today resides, enjoying the $B's he has acquired by his crimes in the Ukraine.
Putin has no reason to want the war at all, and never did. The Russian peoples in the Donbass were being attacked by terrorists for years, and in 2022 Ukrainian military forces massed on the borders of the Donbass to undertake a genocide of the families of Russians that lived there, and that is why the Russian MOD entered the Ukraine with the purpose of denazification, because it is the Zionazi street gangs that Ihor Kholomoisky used to physically seize Ukrainian businesses, and that were later trained and funded by the NED/CIA to overthrow the Ukrainian government during the Maidan, that have been the core of the terrorist forces in the Ukrainian military, such as Azov and Right Sector.

Corrupt politicians, their enemedia lapdogs, and the criminal organizations that have concentrated in the Ukraine since it's creation in the collapse of the USSR in 1991 has enabled Zelensky to steal a lot of money by killing a lot of people, and as long as he can continue to kill people and steal money he will. The end of war will be the end of his murderous crime spree, and begin his forced retirement - if he can manage to avoid execution for his crimes.

The Russians in the Donbas attacked others for years, then cried 'terrorist' when the people attacked back. Classic false flag, to create a reason for the war.
Zelensky has not been the president since 1991, we wasn't elected in a landslide until 2019. Until he became president, oligarchs were fleecing the nation. Russian oligarchs.
If Putin doesn't want the war, he can leave, and declare Russia a safe place for all Russians that want to flee Ukraine.
He sure didn't have to cross borders, unless he wanted war.
Putin has stated, often and publicly, that he desires to return Russia to the full glory of the USSR. That's why he went in to Ukraine, and it's probably the only reason. He sure didn't do it to save any Russians, unless he's incredibly stupid, because hundreds of thousands of Russians have been killed during the invasion. That's close to 10x the number of Russians you think he wanted to 'save' in Donbas.

Zelensky has too obviously extracted his share of kickbacks from the constant stream of $B's in war funding. He has a mansion in Miami ~$40M, and another in Egypt, at least, and he didn't buy those with is salary as Ukraine's President. So, he's got to disappear, but how he can disappear, and where he could go, isn't immediately obvious. He can't follow Assad to Russia, for obvious reasons. Iran maybe? Somalia? His mentor Ihor Kholomoisky retired in Israel. Maybe Tel Aviv is where he'll alight under a new name, like Zebenyahu or something.
