You said it, we're in for a rollercoaster of a ride, feels like we're cresting the top of a hill. Nobody wants the false-narrative to become reality, but most are being tricked into believing the false narrative is already reality and everyone will just have to adjust to survive. This is why so many Germans said "heil hitler" when they didn't actually proscribe to nazi philosophy, they just wanted to be left alone. They reported their neighbors hiding jews, not because they hate jews, but because the wanted favor with the authorities. Then they got bombed, displaced or killed. Today, so many people put on masks, even though they know it's useless, get injected trusting the voices that say "safe and effective" and repeat things they hear on TV, without any conviction or belief behind it - just because they think it will give them a free pass and they'll be left alone. I sympathize with people who just want to be left alone (I want to be left alone), but it never works out that way.
Saying "I don't believe in trains, trains don't exist, crazy conspiracy theorist, there are no trains" while sitting on the train tracks will not save anyone when the train comes. I think I hear the whistle now in the distance.
