I keep hearing complaints about "negativity in social media" but all I see on my Facebook feed are "look at our happy family together" photos; positive affirmation memes; hikes, bike rides, and other completed workouts; kids with trophies; and attacks on Trump.

For the most part, it's universally saccharine. Do I have unusually happy friends or are the other social media networks more pessimistic?
