German Pancakes
(AKA Dutch Babies)
Actually, I don't think they are German. So the name is weird, but anyway...
Today, I challenged myself to make a Dutch baby, which is also known as a German pancake. It's really simple to make. It takes a couple warm eggs and flour and sugar and blend it in the blender.
The key point is to have the eggs warm, but not cold from the cold refrigerator. After baking it in the oven, it rises really big like a big bubble. You put butter on top and sprinkle with powdered sugar and squeeze some fresh-squeezed lemon on top.
It's like the best breakfast ever! Whenever you're feeling down, make one of these Dutch babies and you'll feel lifted up to the sky.
