Beautiful

Love the picture of Devil's Tower.
Visited Devil's Tower in Wyoming when my wife and first got married.
Wow, that was 40 years ago.
We spent 8 weeks on the road, and one on the most spectacular sites was DT. Walked around the base of it snapping pictures the entire time.

Wonderful photography with all the pics!

Isn't it crazy to think back that some of the things that we did were 40 years ago! And the memories are so clear that it certainly doesn't seem like it could possibly be that long. This trip out west for me was the first time that I had been there in about 35 years and so many of the places that I saw were so clear in my memory that it seemed like I had just been there yesterday. Some things have changed a lot, but not Devils Tower. It was all just exactly as I remembered it.

Absolutely!! The only way to get over this current mess that we are in is to keep looking up and saying positive!

That is a killer shot of the Devil's Tower. Every time I see something that I haven't seen in a hundred years it always brings back fond memories of a different time. Great shots and of course your thoughts are going in the same direction as mine. Let's just keep this party going. It's the blunt best platform ever.

Staying positive is so much easier when you are surrounded by positive people! Thank you for being one of my positive friends!

Bring negative has never solved anything for me, so it is the only other choice. Right? Besides that, it is a total downer to be around negativity!

Yes!

Have a wonderful day, my friend!

I agree 💯%. ❤️

Stay positive and consistent, that's what I did to support my friends when the crypto price declined. For the part of the photo I was very interested in it Queens Anne Lace.

Thanks for this my friends @melinda010100

Queen Anne's Lace is a very common roadside plant in this area. It blooms late in the summer and fills the road ditches with its beautiful blossoms.

Devil's Tower! Awesome #lookingup

Thanks! I figured it was a little too big to use for a boulder Sunday picture, but seemed appropriate to be looking up at.👆👆👆

Lookingup beautiful photos.

Thanks, my friend! 😊

Next year price can go up🙋🙋🙋

We are all looking forward to that day! Let's plan a big party!

Love the first photograph. They look so majestic... I enjoy your photos of these beautiful places so much.💚

Thank you! I took tons of photos of the Tower, but I am beginning to forget what photos I have already posted here.

That picture is beautiful. Sometimes it happens to me that I do not know which photos I've already used for my post

The first photo is very beautiful ...

Is that a man-made peak ...?

No. Devil's Tower was created by a lava flow 100,000 years ago. ...

The name sounds a little weird.

100,000 years ago ... wow ... it's been a long time but still looks beautiful ...

There are usually climbers making their way to the top. There is an old Steven Spielberg movie called Close Encounters of the Third Kind that this rock Tower plays a prominent part in.

It seems interesting to watch, I will look for this film

Thank you for the info @melinda010100
🙂🙂🙂

It is an old movie from the 70's. Do let me know if you watch it.

Howdy there Melinda! what is that Devil's Tower anyway?

What do you mean? It's a 100,000 year old intrusion of molten rock that was forced upward out of the earth. The Kiowa and Cheyenne say an outsized grizzly bear raked the spire with its huge claws. It is a National Park in Northeast Wyoming

yeah, I mean ..I was asking if you knew how it was formed, the shape is so strange with those grooves in the sides and I was wondering it there was anything on top. I think aliens made it and it's probably a receiver of some kind.

That is what Steven Spielberg thought when he made Close Encounters of the Third Kind! Lots of climbers go to the top.

oh was that in that movie? well I only saw it once when it first came out 40 years ago so I don't remember much of it!

It was! Richard Dreyfus sculpted the mashed potatoes into a shape that looked like Devil's Tower. He keeps having recurring visions of the mountain. I haven't seen it in years either.but the gift shop in the park had plenty of movie memorabilia that jogged my memory about what the film was about.

oh lol. how interesting. Did you guys just use a car to travel or did you have a motorhome?

I think that is a great idea!!! Let's look up!
❤️

Thanks, @mariannewest! It's a good way to remind each other to stay positive. Being negative doesn't help any of us!

I love looking up at the Devil's Tower and those trees are tall : )

Must of been something to see the great tower
so closely! I heard a huge mighty bear clawed
the sides. I like the long column shadows :-)
