The bodies of the corporation's Economic and Social Council are held in the United Nations headquarters in New York on Monday.
Bangladesh has been a member of the board of UNICEF and UN-Oman for three years. The CSW period is four years.
The Permanent Mission of Bangladesh in New York says that these elections were 'very important' in protecting the rights of women and children and improving the quality of life.
"Bangladesh has won these elections because of the government's role in empowering women, successive successes and international recognition of these achievements."
From January 1, 2019, CSW has been the member of 11 countries for four years. Bangladesh and Malaysia have been elected from Asia and Pacific region.
Bangladesh, Mongolia and Pakistan from this region have been elected to the UNICEF board meeting for three years from January 2015.
India, Mongolia, Nepal and Saudi Arabia have been elected to Bangladesh with the term of the UN Women's Executive Board member from this region for the same period.
The Bangladesh mission says that being a member of the United Nations' board of the two organizations, Bangladesh can play an active role in its activities, fund management and its proper use.
