Mentor
A mentor is someone who you look up to, who have been in the shoes you are or about to be. It might be spiritual or professional.
A mentor is someone who has walked the path you are hoping to walk someday. So you look up to him or her for guidance to avoid the mistakes he or she made.
From the above points,
Is it necessary to have a MENTOR?
In my own perspective
.... it is a necessity but only if you really can find the right type because mentors themselves have their own "mentor". You may not be realising your potential to the maximum all because you have no one you're looking up to.
Someone said : I struggled with growth not until I choose a mentor in my field of writing, I'm a living testimony of it. Everyone needs a mentor. Except you're the Ancient of Days, You need a mentor.
You may be wondering: "how can I afford to have great and influential people like Bill Gate, Sam Adeyemi, Adenuga, Billy Graham etc as my mentor since i can't gain their presence as mentoring is believed to involve the presence of the mentor?" I tell you,
You can have a mentor you've never seen or you will never see.
So how do you get mentored by someone you'll never see... Or someone you don't have access to?
Get their books and materials
Listen to their messages
Tips they give on social media is a useful tool as well.

Mentorship is really about guidance, so search for their guiding materials and commit yourself to them. Not once in a while but as often as possible until results begin to manifest.
Choosing A Mentor
So how do i choose a mentor?
Before you choose a mentor... Ask yourself these questions;
- What exactly is attracting me to the mentor?
- What area I'm I interested in?
- Does the person have proof of growth and success in the area I'm interested in?
- Am I ready to make commitment for success?
Having answered all these questions with a positive outcome... Choose your mentor with the following tips:
Choosing a mentor is a careful process. It is the key to know the type of people you look up to and how their ideologies aligns with what you hold up to.
The person you might be choosing as your mentor should be easily accessible to you or their guiding materials should be easily accessible to you. Lastly and importantly,
To choose a mentor, you must have plan, purpose and vision for your life.
