Visiting the Mercat de San Telmo -EN-ES-

This Sunday I went to the Mercart! That's the name of a market in the neighborhood of Villa Crespo. MERCAT is located in the heart of Villa Crespo and has an urban and avant-garde design. It is a meeting point for cooks, passionate foodies and neighbors. The space is really huge, it has 2,700 m2 spread over 3 floors for the supply of local and regional products of more than 15 items. The proposal has the perfect combination of quality gastronomy with the approach to the producer, fair trade and added value. Gourmet and natural products, tastings, talks, events and entertainment all in one place.

This is a market that was abandoned many years ago and the city government has been campaigning for some time with the project of remodeling and restoring the city's heritage in different ways. The destiny of the markets was to restore them with the same purpose and the truth is that they are doing better and better. In the beginning the first projects were for simpler purposes such as squares and recreational places, then they migrated when they were getting better and better and it became the implementation of all the abandoned places of different markets in the city.

This space is now well known because of the growing popularity of Oriental food gastronomy that was gaining prominence and became bigger and bigger, so much so that now has a floor or 2 almost complete lookeados oriental style as if you were walking the streets of those cities like Tokyo or Beijing. All the stalls that are currently there became very well known for the quality of the products they sell and you can buy many oriental products to take away and consume at home, such as: beer, spicy and different types of products in addition to the cuisine that you can eat there among its alleys or you can take to eat at home take away type.

This Sunday in particular was the international day of tea, so they did a talk where they told the history of tea, where it was discovered and what is its philosophy. Many stories about tea and different theories and after all this they made a tea tasting that we enjoyed a lot and a sommelier of this drink explained all this to us, that I didn't know existed.

The experience was really beautiful because after a lot of food that I tasted there, there I participated in this talk and tea tasting that lasted for an hour and a half.
After such a nice afternoon I could only go back home and unbutton my pants, throw myself on the couch and smile for such a beautiful afternoon of pleasure, enjoyment and beautiful people.

Que lindo terminar el fin de semana comiendo rico.

Este domingo me fui para el Mercart! Así se llama un mercado del barrio de Villa Crespo. MERCAT está en el corazón de Villa Crespo y tiene una impronta urbana y diseño vanguardista. Es un punto de encuentro de cocineros, comensales apasionados y vecinos. El espacio realmente es gigante, tiene 2.700 m2 repartidos en 3 plantas para la oferta de productos locales y regionales de más de 15 rubros. La propuesta tiene la combinación perfecta entre gastronomía de calidad con el acercamiento al productor, el comercio justo y el valor agregado. Aquí convive lo gourmet con productos naturales, degustaciones, charlas, eventos y entretenimiento todo en un solo lugar.

Este es un mercado que estaba abandonado hace muchos años y el gobierno de la ciudad está en campaña hace tiempo con el proyecto de remodelación y restauración de patrimonio de la ciudad de diferentes formas. El destino de los mercados fue el de restaurarlos con la misma finalidad y la verdad lo están haciendo cada vez mejor. En principio los primeros proyectos eran para fines más simples como plazas y lugares de esparcimiento luego fueron migrando cuando cada vez les salía mejor y se transformó en la puesta en vigencia de todos los lugares abandonados de diferentes mercados de la ciudad.

Este espacio ahora es muy conocido por que fue creciendo la popularidad con respecto a la gastronomía de comida Oriental que fue ganando protagonismo y se hizo cada vez más grande, tal es así que ahora tiene un piso o 2 casi completos lookeados al estilo oriental como si estuvieras caminando las calles de esas ciudades como Tokio o Beijing. Todos los puestos que tiene allí actualmente se hicieron muy conocidos por la calidad de los productos que venden y puedes comprar muchos productos orientales para llevar y consumir en tu casa, como: Cerveza, picantes y productos de diferentes tipos además de la gastronomía que puedes comer ahí entre sus callejones o podes llevarte para comer en tu casa tipo take away.

Este domingo particularmente fue el día internacional del Té, por lo que hicieron una charla en donde se contó, la historia del Té, donde se descubrió y cuál es su filosofía. Muchas historias sobre el té y diferentes teorías y luego de todo esto hicieron una cata de Té que disfrutamos mucho y nos explico todo esto una sommelier de esta bebida, que yo no sabia que existian.

La experiencia fue realmente hermosa porque después de una gran cantidad de comida que probé allí, ahí participe de esta charla y cata de té que duró disfrute durante una hora y media.
Después de esta tan linda tarde no podía hacer más que volver a casa y desabrocharme el pantalón, tirarme en el sillón y sonreír por tan hermosa tarde de placer, disfrute y gente linda.
