Nothing against a Metaverse, but run by Facebook? Very sceptic about that.
I don't mean this in a snide way, but there is a reason that Facebook changed it's name to Meta and it's mostly operating on Oculus that belongs to Facebook, and it's also Markie Zuck that is the one pushing the hardest for this to become reality. You don't invest so much energy into something, unless there is something to gain from it or you have a controlling share, and Mark is hedging his bets.
Sure, exactly this is the reason we all have to be careful about what Markie has in mind. We should instead aim for a decentralized Metaverse.
