How a business shapes is one of the trickiest things in the rough and unexpected world of economy.

While there is no single gospel of truth when it comes to business and how it should be handled, most businesses follow a simple truth that is in correlation with how the human society functions without falling into chaos.

In today’s article, we are going to talk about the two pillars upon which most businesses shape. By doing so, you might get ideas of how you should think about innovative ideas and start your own businesses.

Let us take a look at the world of advertising and marketing strategies. Have you ever paid attention to one of those ads on your TV about a new car or a product that could bring much more comfort and ease to your daily life?

Well, if you pay close attention, you will notice that most of the time, the advertisement is not focused on the product itself, but rather on the people who live in the world of that advertisement.

Their emotions, their ideals, and their lifestyle is embodied perfectly within the boundaries of comfort and tranquility.

You see, when you are starting up a business, you are not merely selling a product or giving out your service to other people. You are selling them ideas.

The whole of culture relies on what you do with your business.

It might grow into something unstoppable. A storm that extinguishes everything in its path. It might turn into the next savior for humanity. Something that soothes the pain of living a life in the 21st century.

Most businesses shape around two pillars, or concepts, if you will: Needs and Desires.

When you start a business, you are either taking care of a need that humans have for something, or you are fulfilling their desire to an extent.

For example, building houses comes out of a collective need, while entertainment products are out to nurture our desires.

Some people believe that it is much more ethical and selfless to promote a business which is shaped around needs, rather than desires.

Whatever your belief, you must take note of what you need to think about if you want to create a business of your own.

That is the most important key in the early days of conception; when you are thinking about what ideas could work really well.

If you want a prosperous business, you should think about a great need that you could take care of. You could think about a deep desire that you could satiate.

Hence, you will give birth to innovative and creative ideas that will actually work in the world outside.

Starting your own business can be a bit overwhelming at times. It is intimidating to step outside and think beyond yourself to cater the needs and desires of an ever-growing and evolving society.

But do not let that scare you. Everything has its rules, after all. The only thing you need to do is make sure that you understand the rules and can conform to the pattern with which many people have found success in the world of business.

Take note of the two pillars and make sure you really think about this fundamental and underlying philosophy before you start to do anything for yourself!

This article is particularly striking, since it relates very well to a part of the work that I do. It is, ultimately, a combination of creativity with product promotion.

What if we think about the idea of ​​combining the product or service that we are thinking about undertaking, with enough imagination to "create the need" in the client to be able to acquire it? Doing it this way is a vital form of marketing in emerging economies, especially if they are in depression; in those economies where people can not buy food anymore because they can not afford much more, like in my country happens. And at that moment we arrived with our idea, which can solve a problem, but without being essential, they feel the need to acquire it by the technique we use to offer it.

With this, these people satisfy a need, but they also allow us to grow. It should be noted that it is our part and also our good faith, that what we offer meets this purpose: That it really manages to solve a problem of who acquires our product or service.

@chbartist topics, two important things for me: needs and desire, but based on living the word when I want, when I yearn, it is almost always to cover a need.
And earthly it is like that, we always want to fulfill a physical or spiritual need, at this moment I am carrying out a social project in Venezuela "Bread from heaven" to feed children at social risk, but that need, has made me grow as an entrepreneur and raised my yearning to fill that gap that exists in the children of my country. With those two pillars, I add, people, that resource so important to generate an inclusive environment.

Excellent review @chbartist and you touched on the concepts that have always been the primary source of any demand from the population. If we can exactly and completely understand what people want and what they want to consume, we can approach any business more thoroughly and succeed!

My husband and I have a project for a business, which is precisely to meet needs, but the situation in the country has made it very difficult to start it. Since the raw material is very expensive or in some cases it is difficult to get it because there is scarcity of products. We hope that when everything is improving in the country we can achieve all the details to get it going... And the truck where we were going to start the business, last Sunday the engine was burned and now we have to buy a new engine, which would be approximately 500 $ :(

Undoubtedly, trade strengthens our economies, for which the essential aspects are advertising and marketing. Apart from this, the essential element is the exchange of ideas. Because not all people are accustomed to TV or newspapers. They learn about ads only through the discussions of each other.
The amount of the item that is needed will be as much consumed and the amount of consumption depends on our requirement. The biggest concept of business is the person's thinking and desires. Because it is able to make the right information about the value and quality of an object at the same time, it is being used and it spreads among people only through discussion.

I never watched much tv and got rid of it about 25 years ago. I block every add I can and ignore the rest. I would rather have my own needs and desires come to the surface than to have someone else drive those ideas. I don't do much consuming anyway, so why even look :)

Very true - but I got off of media long before this. Now I have all photos and videos turned off to save wifi and I should have done it earlier! It's amazing to realize how much time was taken up when something scrolled by on the screen.

You are right, desires and needs have always been the guiding concepts of any business, especially now when the population is growing and consumption is becoming more and more. Anyone who can reveal the true desires of the consumer and will be more successful in business at all times!

Diseñar una propuesta de negocios que este pensada en cubrir las necesidades y los deseos de las personas no es trabajo facil. Esto debido a que muchas veces no sabemos lo que queremos. o no identificamos los beneficios en ciertos artículos o productos por que no están marcando la moda.

Mas que aprender a vender, debemos aprender a comprar, a invertir en productos que ofrezcan un alto valor agregado, y exigir "calidad" más que cantidad, verificando que las empresas estén cumpliendo con los estándares ambientales y las normativas fiscales y sociales, generando un verdadero mercado competitivo con iguales oportunidades en base al esfuerzo realizado por las empresas que invierten en el mejoramiento continuo.

These are truly fundamental factors for a business as the demand will come from them which is half of the equation. You can the focus on the supply side and differentiate your offering to attract consumers. If you have these pillars in mind for your client, you will be able to orovide the best service.

The visualization of needs and desires of the clients, is key to determine what our target market will be and to define product or service design strategies and promotion strategies.

I want to emphasize an important aspect in the marketing of products, and it has to do with the ethics of marketing. I mean not to create false attributes of the product / service and false expectations in the satisfaction of desires. This can generate in the client "cognitive dissonance", that is, a feeling of defraction or deception that, far from attracting new clients, can generate a bad reputation. Even this can lead to legal problems due to misleading advertising.

When you live in a socialist country, we believe that more promotions you make is insufficient, it is to fight against the current, the income goes to pay employees, services, royalties to the rulers because they submit to you and the entry of the raw material into the country because nothing is produced in yours. I live in Venezuela and here any business is fatal, unless you have access to preferential currency, since even to sell bottled water you must import the plastic to make the bottle and cancel it in hard currency while as an average citizen you do not have income to them.

En Venezuela a pesar de la fuerte crisis en la que estamos pienso que contamos con una forma facil de escalar en las escalas sociales comparandolo con otros paises en los que la ley se debe cumplir y es mas dificil que una persona pueda vender cosas en su casa o pueda tener los permisos pertinentes para poder tener su negocio, no digo que sea facil solo que la incompetencia del gobierno lo hace un poco menos dificil que en otros paises

Ads don't directly sell the prospects the product. Ads sell solution, no matter it can really solve any problem or not. You want to attract more attention? Buy these shoes. You want to lose weight? Take our pill. You want safety for the family? Buy our insurance. To sum it all up, advertising is all about inducing fear or igniting (false) hope in us.
