Recently I came across new service on Steemit. Well technically not a new service, but it was a new service to me. Considering how widespread @randowhale is I just easily presumed it was the best value on Steemit. Everyone would not use it otherwise right? Well that is right and wrong. Currently you can only use @minnowbooster for a max of 1SBD per day. So the fact that it cannot be used for spam while consistently growing the value of it's vote should be appreciated. Think of it as a once a day helping hand for everyone. @randowhale doe's things slightly different. To prevent the service from being used to spam out crap content less post's @randowhale keeps the value of the upvote similar to that of the initial cost. Which if you think about it is leasing out a single 1sbd upvote at a 1:1 ratio per week. Great business model for @randowhale, maybe not so much for us.
This is where things get interesting. Other than the normal service's we are accustomed to on Steemit @minnowbooster offers something different. A way to significantly boost the value of your own upvote and at a ratio of 1:100 STEEM PER WEEK. So for example. I just recently purchased leased 500 Steem Power from @minnowbooster for a total cost of 20 Steem for one month. Those upvotes can be used in a variety of ways and how people use them is no concern of mine. I keep out of the politics of what people can and can't do with there own money.
Getting back on point....Along with my recent lease from @minnowbooster I have powered up 330 Steem so I went a little bit overboard with my upvoting. It is currently under 50%. For the next few days I will be saving my voting power and be leasing another 1000 Steem Power from @minnowbooster for the very fair price of 40steem. Then my vote will be worth nearly 25cents. I feel like that is enough to help some people. I will use 80% of that to upvote others because, it's just more fun that way. It is how we show appreciation for thought and effort that went into sharing our collective knowledge and points of view.

UPDATE: Couldnt wait to Lease the extra 1150sp from @minnowboster nor could I resist the temptation of upvoting other Steemians(and myself once to see how much) so from now on no upvoting for 48 hours.
