Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!

This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.

Why Mischievous?

We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

This week's theme : Ghosts in the Plumbing

Your pipes are haunted. What are they trying to say?

Congratulations to all the winners 🎉. Thank you for the support. Here is this week's entry;

I don't enjoy leaving my dishes unclean overnight, so even if I've had a hard day, I wash them before bed. While doing so, I heard a sound coming from the sink. At first, I assumed it was a cockroach or an insect, but the sound increased louder and louder.
I had to peep through the chamber and noticed something unusual, so I dashed outside to my neighbor's flat. I ended up spending the night there.

The nights are scary, strange noises echo through the house, I wake up at 3 in the morning and with all the courage in the world, my shins chattering with fear, I go out to look for these sounds. I look everywhere and find nothing, my nervousness has made me sweaty, I go into the bathroom for a quick shower. Out of nowhere, a scream echoes through the pipes, my soul almost leaves my body, they were screams for help, didn't know what to do, I wanted to abandon the house and run as far away as possible, but I have a family, their safety is my priority. In the morning I talk to my wife, she didn't hear anything, those screams of despair are meant for me, death is calling me? It's not possible! I decide to gather up my courage and once again face the nightfall with screams and gnashing of teeth, noises that make every part of my body tremble. I was already going crazy, want to know, I'll go all out. After a week of despair, I hired a team to dig and replace all the pipes in the house. To my great surprise: a corpse was buried under my house. I almost went crazy with this, I didn't say anything, but I knew it was him talking to me. When we removed the skeleton, we discovered the big problem: jewelry all over the body. One of the workers said that when people are buried with rings and jewelry, they return from the underworld asking for them to be removed the items from their tomb so that they can have peace in the other world. I quickly asked for all the items to be removed; he even had a gold tooth, please forgive me, will be toothless. The entire job was completed. I was worried, but my nights returned to their usual peace. The spiritual being in question only wanted what we all long for: PEACE!

Today, just like other days, I stood in front of the mirror in my bathroom having my usual facial night routine before I retired to bed. The silence in the bathroom was disrupted by a repetitive sound—plop, plop, plop. It seemed like water was dropping from somewhere around or inside the pipes in the bathroom. I was very sure I heard the same sound the previous day. So this got me concerned, and I wondered where the sound was coming from.I searched everywhere but couldn't find any visible leak or dripping faucet. Frustrated by my lack of results, I finished my routine and retreated to my bed.

However, I couldn't ignore the mysterious sound as my mind kept wandering back and forth. I wonder if my pipes were haunted. Was there a hidden leak that could cause damage to the building?

I spoke to a plumber the following morning who investigated it and said my pipes are indeed haunted, and the plop sounds I kept hearing are the pipes trying to communicate with me that there's a minor issue with it, like a loose pipe connection that needs to be fixed. After hearing this, my mind was put at ease it wasn't as serious as I thought it would be

The hissing voices echoing through the pipes aren’t just the sounds of thermal expansion — they’re ancient laments of forgotten plumbers, doomed to forever warn us about overly long showers and unnecessary toilet flushes.

Every time you hear a “glub-glub” at 3 a.m., it’s the spirit of Donato, the Plumber from Beyond, trying to say, “Save water, you creature!”

And those whispers that rise when the faucet drips? Encoded messages in the sacred language of hydraulics, demanding biodegradable soap and respect for the water tank.

Once, a particularly loud groan revealed a buried secret: a lost engagement ring trapped in the sink’s siphon since 1989, still waiting for a “yes.”

The pipes aren’t broken — they’re lonely. They crave attention, a little love in the form of vinegar and baking soda, maybe even a chat about global warming.

And if you hear a melodic whistle coming from the shower… well, just accept it: your plumbing is made up of misunderstood poets.

I just moved into a somewhat old house but the cost was well worth it, so I didn't mind too much and decided to move in as soon as possible.
As soon as I started to move boxes and furniture full of memories I began to experience an unusual cold in summer, but eventually I did not pay attention to it. So I continued my work alone as usual, but I began to hear voices, which made me quite curious and I began to look for where they came from.
I was afraid, the weather began to change abruptly and everything became a little gray, so I was wrapped in a totally gloomy atmosphere. Despite that I took courage and kept looking for where those macabre laughs I was hearing came from, so I had to go down to the basement and put my ear on an old wall that let me see some pipes that was next to the stairs and suddenly I heard nothing more, only silence, so after a couple of seconds I hear whispers and I thought to talk to the wall also as a whisper saying:
What are you trying to say?
To which to my surprise they respond in a whisper:
Welcome to hell
I abruptly remove myself from that wall, truly perplexed and a wave of unfortunate events begins in the house. To the point that I came to the decision to look for a father as a last resort or I would have to sell at a lower price than the one I bought.
The father had no better luck than me, so I was forced to sell the house.
I still drive by in my car and see families come and go, no one stays for long. I guess the plumbing ghosts do their thing and have a lot of things to communicate to its inhabitants.

Hello everyone, I'm new in this platform and I really want to use this opportunity to thank @lecia89 for reblogging this post.

My entry
My mum had always told me about our family having ties with the spiritual world. She said that our ancestors had natural abilities to speak with Spiritual beings and that we could see what no man could see, beyond these walls and dimension and so we were called the Seers.
I never understood anything she told me. I had always thought that all what she said to me were lies to scare me at night. I realised that all what she said were true after I was humiliated for talking to a plumber that was Invisible to everyone but me. The next day the plumbing ghost came to my flat. I had I asked him to come fix my faulty pipes and though I was a bit frightened I allowed him in and after showing him the leakage I allowed him do his job on returning he had ghosted away 🤭

I hope the plumber ghost fixed the pipes well😃
