Last week, Pi Network announced that it is targetting to launch Open MainNet in 2024, subject to the fulfillment of 3 conditions.
Based on the announcement, I conclude that at least 40% of the work for Open MainNet has been concluded.
Why do I think so?
Based on the below:
Target for OM: 10 million migrated. Current: About 4 million migrated. 40% completed
Target for OM: 15 million full and tentative KYC Current: 8 million 53% completed
Target for OM: 100 real apps meeting 4 conditions Current: 40, with more meeting part of the 4 conditions 40% completed
I am also of the opinion that Pi Network has reached an inflexion point whereby KYC, migration and utility app creation can pick up significant traction, which is why the Pi Core Team set out the above conditions.
In a sense, I strongly feel that the Pi Core Team was already quite confident that the above 3 conditions can be met in 2024.
