Meet my daughter Alyssa...
Yesterday, I had my daughter opened her bamboo piggy bank for the second time since it is full and there is no way that she can fit more coins in. I had her count it herself (I helped a little) and head to PSBank after to deposit into her kiddie account.
For me, saving money is probably the most important aspects of building wealth and having a secure financial foundation. Yet many of us have learned the importance of saving money through experience. In school, we aren’t really taught about the importance of saving and many of us find that as adults, we have to fend for ourselves.
But there are ways to empower our next generation, and that starts by teaching my daughter the importance of saving from a young age. It can also provide a great source of motivation as she understands that her money will grow over time as long as she doesn’t touch it. At age of 17, she should have P1Million (daddy's ultimate dream).
