How great would it be to use Steem to directly pay for products and services online? WE CAN!!
Not only is this super cool and helps build brand awareness for both Steem and website owners but it also contributes to helping improve volatility and liquidity in the Steem economy long term. Website owners also benefit from accepting cryptocurrencies with cheaper fees, no chargebacks, fraud protection, faster payments, more exposure and website traffic potentially leading to more $$$ I strongly believe we are moving towards an online world where customers will want to chose how they pay, businesses will need to accommodate this if they want to have a competitive edge.
There are a lot of merchant services out there for cryptocurrencies I have personally used/tested many mostly for #bitcoin but when it comes to simplicity for developers, website owners and end users coinpayments.net offers a great service that I am currenly setting up with my own two websites.

Yes, i agree with you on that @mandax. But at the moment, there're still many uncertainties over here. We'll have to follow and observe the community very very closely. But definitely, the potential is very high for this to work out :)
