Bonds would only matter in a real market.
There already were days when bonds were down and stocks were up, and days when stocks were down and bonds were up, which you call "safety play".

Thanks for the update and the good advice. I was out yesterday and too late to jump in on this trade, but waiting for the market to go down and then get back in when the feds start jacking it back up.
