This is my entry for the #monomad challenge

in #monomad5 years ago

On a recent ebike ride I visited one of the local golf courses around here and took a few photographs. Google Photos stitched some of them together and created this panorama. You can see the clubhouse in the far right of the the photo. Straight ahead there is just a hint of the ocean off in the distance and the mountains on the far edge of the Puget Sound blending almost invisibly into the sky.

Here's the result of the image processed using GIMP with Agafapan 25 film emulation:

Here's another version with Kodak HEI film emulation:

I'm kind of partial to the second version for some reason but I figure most of you probably will like the less processed first version better. The second version has this kind of interesting other worldly feel to it to me. Kind of like I'm looking out on someplace I don't really belong.

I made this version by pumping up the color a bit before I emulated black and white.

Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The picture was taken by me with my Galaxy S9+ and modified in software. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.

Greetings @litesplasher,

Lovely photographs.......that give such a sense of space and depth.

One may be drawn more so to the second one as the movement in the sky is pronounced and the contrast between sky and land heightened resulting in a dramatic mood.....as one of your readers said.....it looks like something is about to happen......indeed.

Cheers!

Thank you! It is interesting to me that more people seem to be drawn to the second version of the picture. I would not have thought that would be so.

I like the intense vibe of second version like something is about to happen.

I think both are cool the firs tone bright and but I do like the dramatic moody feel of the second one as well
