So Guys now Iran is planning to launch its first spacecraft to moon in December. This is the latest news . Lets know a bit about this spacecraft.
- The spacecraft is unmanned and weighs 585 kilograms (1,300 pounds) , 5 feet in height and at launch and it will land on moon on Feb 13 2019.
- So it would be launched via a rocket from SpaceX . Now each and every mission has a purpose similarly this one is for researching moon's magnetic field.
- This project is the effort of private company Iran Aerospace Industries and a non profit organisation SpaceL .
- SpaceL and Iran Aerospace Industries have raised $88 Million from private donors in the past 10 years.
- After it reaches the surface of moon it will use its camera to record the video of lunar surface and capture photos of it and its magnetometer will be used to measure the moon's magnetic field.
- Three countries have already landed on moon US, Russia and China and now Iran too. So this ould be a national accomplishment for Iran.
