Mothman

To say that a mothman doesn't exist when tens of thousands of witnesses say otherwise is pretty ignorant and bold. A very large flying homonoid type creature does exist somewhere at some point whether we wish to believe it or not. But like the belief in aliens or any abnormal thing requires some degree of open mindedness and courage as fear commands the unknown. To believe in these things which cause fear can hurt people in their daily lives. We tell ourselves what we want to hear and disregard anything else. This is what everyone does. But it doesn't mean that nothing weird exists or unknown, or not understood.
Humans do not know everything from a conscious public perspective. And humans have a great deal of taboos due to their level of anxiety and fear which will continue to perpetuate these beliefs that there is nothing more out there, and no reason to fear.

Here we see some of the evidence, with hundreds of pictures thousands of witnesses even video floating around of them flying as far back as the 1960s its pretty safe to say cgi wasn't a factor to consider.
I have seen much of it and personally I would say these are not the same creature, the different locations and times brought forth different creatures. But there is one exception and that is the Giant bat creatures. Watching them they are many, they have been reported as far back as the 1400s and the descriptions are multiple, all the same, and the modern videos concurs with the descriptions.
They stand about four and a half to five feet tall, they have wings like a bat, they have a hairless face but hair on the top of the head, they have red eyes, Farmers have always hunted and killed them because of how scary looking they are. They have traditionally just grabbed anything available to them at the time to kill them, and they mostly stayed around farms and rural areas to feast on animals because they drink blood.
Farmers would see one and grab a wooden stake from a fence and stab it through the heart. Or shoot it, they hated the smell of garlic so that was often used as a defense including salt which is known to burn their skin. They are black as night and don't reflect light, they are nocturnal creatures with red eyes as this is the only part of their body which reflects light, and it is a deep red color. But they absolutely still exist today, they are smart, almost hunted into extinction and small in number, only come out at night, and keep their distance making it very difficult to judge size, many people may have seen one thinking it was just a shadow or a big bird, but its just a big bat.
