It is very normal to see people spend time in the acquisition of knowledge; some even spend years - earning degree, doing professional course, reading books, going for seminars, etc. But not every of them actually know how to turn their knowledge into results. More often than not, result in life is not a function of how intelligent you are, nor the opportunities you have to acquire knowledge, but it is a result of how you have backed up what you know with relevant actions. That is, applying what you have learnt is what brings the result. You can only move from potential to power when you turn your knowledge to action.

No matter what you know or what you have been able to build up in your mind, you still need to act on them in order to see results. Now think about this; no matter how much water you store up in a reservoir, it still needs a pipe for the water to get to the end-users. The pipe in this scenario is the action you put into what you have learnt. There is no way to even prove that you know something or that you have gotten a particular knowledge, but it is only your knowledge that will prove it. This is why I always tell people that "your action is the bridge between your dream and your reality."
It is weird to see a lot of people devote their time to acquiring knowledge, and even putting themselves in "learning mode," which is good, but they also tend to think that their readiness has to be absolute before they act. What they forget is that it is almost impossible for you to be absolutely ready. If you are waiting to get the entire knowledge before you make a move, then you may never make any move because there will always be lots of things to be learnt. Growth does not only occur by what you know, but by what you dare to try. Trust me, there are things that you may never learn until you have dared to take the action and experience it first-hand.
Take this instance: you may have studied entrepreneurship and may even have comparative knowledge about the strategies involved in running business. You may even know so much about it that you can teach others, and you can do strategic analysis. Yet, until you start a business in reality, meet real customers, make sales, solve real problems, then you may never grasp fully what entrepreneurship entails. In programming for example, even if you may have a knowledge about it, until you have written a line of code, you may not really understand what it means.

It is worthy to note that the world only respect results. The result you want will not be handed over to you on the premise of just your knowledge, but by putting the required actions to the knowledge. Of course, there is only one way to prove that you have knowledge about something; when you have put it to work. If you have acquired knowledge about something and have not put it to action even when you are required to, then there is no distinctive differences between you and the unknowledgeable people. In reality, it is what you do and how you take taken actions on your knowledge that will substantiate that you know it. Employers for example, when they recruit, they will not just be interested in what you know but what you can do. Results will definitely speak louder than knowledge.
Actions have the power to move people forward. While acting, do not wait until you have gotten the perfect time or the person support before you take actions. You can even start the action small and from where you are, but keep doing it. A small action, no matter how imperfect it may look like, is actually more important and carries greater potentials than not acting at all. What matters is that you take the action, apply consistency to it, and over time, you will see some amazing results coming out from the actions. Remember that you have to turn knowledge into action before you can see the result. That is; from head to hand.
Thanks for reading
Without acting on the things we know, there will be no results, and it will so means, the person has not learn stuffs, which he/she claim's it has.
People look for results, infact, these days, it is the results that loud than words.
Although, degrees, skills are still a necessary tool for those who want to acquire them, but after what they have learnt, they need to be an evidence.
That is why it's good for a person to study courses in school that are more practical related, I think with those kinds of courses, he/she can easily make something out of it, than waiting unless an employment come knock on their door.
Good morning bro, happy new week.
Your first statement sums it all. Actions bring the result.
