I heard one story that I wanted to share with you. I don't know who is the author and I am sharing it with my own words as I remember. It goes like this:
Once upon a time, says an Indian legend, on the top of the Himalayas, among the clouds, lived the gods Shiva and Shakti. One day Shakti asked Shiva to come down among the people. Shiva was not in the mood and said that people are difficult and immature and do not know what they really want. However, Shakti did not give up so easily. She again asked Shiva to come down from the top of the mountain among the people to help them. She said to him, "Do you hear, most holy, the prayer addressed to you?" Shiva paused, tilted his head, and indeed, heard a prayer calling to him: "Om namah shivaya, om namah shivaya ..."
Shiva summoned his flying tiger and set off with Shakti among the people. As they flew down the mountain, they heard a prayer. He stopped and saw a man, a woman and a little boy who were very poor. When they stood in front of them, the man, woman and child froze because they had never seen the gods before. Shiva addressed them with the words: "You have 3 wishes, what can I do to help you?" The man was still petrified. The woman collected herself a little and said, "Lord, give us a mountain of bread!" She hadn't even expressed a wish yet, and a mountain of bread was in front of them. The man shuddered and yelled at the woman: "You stupid woman - what did you do ?! This bread will spoil in a few days and we will be hungry again! When you are a pig, you should be a pig!" It didn't take long and the woman turned into a pig!
The child started crying and screaming, "Give me back my mom! Give me back my mom!" And in a few seconds, a woman appeared instead of a pig.
Shiva and Shakti jumped on the tiger's back. Shiva sighed and said, "What I told you, they don't know what they want."

As they descended further down the mountain, they heard the prayer again: "Om namah shivaya, om namah shivaya ..."
This time they saw an old blind yogi sitting, meditating and repeating a prayer to Lord Shiva. When they stopped in front of the blind old man, Shiva repeated the offer: "Old man, I heard your prayer. What can I do to help you?"
The old man smiled and said, "I don't need much, my lord. I just want to see my great-grandchildren eating from a golden pot."
Now, I am asking you: Do you know how to express your desire?
