Afternoon.
3am I was up until buffing some freshly painted parts.
Tzr 125 sp petrol tank, front mudgaurd and a rd 50 m petrol tank.
Another reason for being up so late, and shooting some verbals with Ian on facebook, was a bike was being delivered in the UK on my behalf.
Luckily for me the buyer was a repeat customer and was also aware of the lockdown going on.
So he had no problem waiting, unlike 99.5% of people would have been.
He is also over the moon with the bike.
So the finished mudgaurd too, this now only leaves me with 3 small parts to paint this week to complete the super rare race bike.
The project rd that is a special order/mystery buyer bike, well the petrol tank on that has come up better than new, why better? Yamaha put the stickers or decals over the paint, I put them under the lacquer so they can never peal off or be affected by washing them.
So I have been super busy and still am, time to put all the finishing touches on the tanks, fuel taps, rubbers and brackets.

2k lacquer all the way bro, it hardly needs buffing, in fact most times not, and is resistant to fuel and everything else except acid it seems. Thanks for the compliment.

I had to, the dude I sold the bike to is on my friend list, and he was expecting the bike for 1am, and it got delayed, no rest for the wicked you see.
A motorcycle mechanic's work is never done. Nice work mate. You shoot that colour yourself?
Yes I do all the paintwork, I do start to finish bike, nobody to blame but myself if it goes wrong. Thanks for the compliment.
I've shot some paint in my day. I find spray-painting fun...I'm not keen on the prep-work though.
And the prep is the key to a good finish, I know what you are saying though, it is boring doing prep.
