Blood Sisters is a 2022 Nigerian thriller series produced by Netflix. The series, which has been described as the first Nigerian Netflix Original series, stars Ini Dima-Okojie and Nancy Isime in the lead, with Ramsey Noah, Kate Henshaw, Wale Ojo, Kehinde Bankole, Deyemi Okanlawon, Gabriel Afolayan, Tope Tedela among other cast members. The four-part series was released on 5 May 2022 and the release was born of the collaboration of Netflix and Mo Abudu through her media company, Ebonylife TV. Everything was set for the big wedding between Kola and Sarah until Sarah and Kemi (Sara’s sister) became involved in a very challenging situation that resulted in the accident killing Kola. However, to the public, Kola had mysteriously vanished, and Kemi and Sarah attempted to cover their error by burying Kola's body in a shallow grave. Before now, Femi, Kola's older sibling, had planned to have Kola killed before the wedding so he could succeed Kola as the family's legal heir.

Kola is now missing, and the public is unaware of his death. Kemi and Sarah learned that they did not completely cover their tracks when disposing of Kola's body because one of the event photographers saw them loading Kola's body into Kemi's car. The photographer started blackmailing them and demanded huge some of the money. Kemi decided that killing the photographer would be the best course of action, so they searched for a gun and attempted to kill the man, but he was too strong and managed to get the gun. Sarah finished the job by running the man over with a vehicle. However, the CCTV footage from the incident, which reveals Kemi and Sarah moving Kola's body prompts the authorities to step up their investigation.

After Kola's body was found in the shallow grave, Kemi and Sarah are now on the run as the authorities start their search for Kola's killer. All of Kemi and Sarah's attempts to pass the border failed because the police and Uncle B, Mrs. Ademola's assistant, were looking for them. As soon as they realized they were fugitives, Kemi and Sarah concluded that they would do anything to get out of the situation they were in.

It was now revealed that Kola supposedly is a "woman-beater," as he has allegedly inflicted injuries and pain on women he has dated in the past. At this point, some secrets about Kola came was exposed. A deadly situation that has put them in the crosshairs of a family feud has put Sarah and Kemi in a very precarious position as well.
