today i begin my weekly reports about my achievements and annoying mistakes with the MUSE exploration

20/08/17 MUSE client was installed on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS (Xenial Xerus) with hardware Intel Xeon E5-2609 v3 6 cores, RAM 32 GB, HDD SATA 2 TB, bandwith 500 Mb/s, ethernet port 10 GB/s, inlet ambient temp 19C|66F

23/08/17 become one of the MUSE witnesses

26/07/17 have the penultimate place in the list of witnesses

as you will not find strange and surprising, everyone has the opportunity to become a MUSE witness in a short time from a scratch

i was really surprised

first about what you must to do at the beginning

1) choose a reliable branded hardware for the installation, don't use any kind of VM on HYPERV, KVM, etc why so serious?

DPoS chains based on fast processing of blocks and transactions without delays. all VMs has a time bug and you can see it later in logs, for ex: .... time moved backwards .... an this bug is fatal for a future success in DPoS chains

if you can't afford it, then pay close attention to the timing synchronization, more often - more better for you

2) install MUSE from https://github.com/themuseblockchain/Muse-Source on Fedora 24, 25 according the instruction in https://github.com/themuseblockchain/Muse-Source/blob/master/README.md

i installed it on Ubuntu LTS by simply changing dnf to apt-get carefully and without haste, do everything, as indicated in the instructions

3) read all threads in all channels in a MUSE COMMUNITY http://musecommunity.slack.com before you start asking questions

second - what you should never do

1) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ask for VOTE

prove yourself in discussing MUSE issues and your votes up without any asking

2) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ask for VESTS

this is not a charitable foundation

3) NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use teamviewer or the same for continuous remote monitoring, they are hungry for resources, and once upon a time your CPU will be busy when you must processing blocks
