Hey Hivers!
It's difficult to describe the excitement we feel at this present moment. We've just had a week-long "break" after the busiest European summer of our 10-years together. WE NEEDED IT! Now that we feel more refreshed, the reality that we will be in North America for 6 weeks in just ten days has sunk in. We are already dreaming big - shows packed with energy, writing new music, filming music videos in exciting places, spending time with many American Troublemakers whom we haven't seen in 4 years... Just writing this down is already cause for excitement.
2023 has been "transformational" to say the least. When we waved "goodbye" to 2022, we didn't expect so much to happen at the start of the year! Truthfully, we weren't prepared for it. The past 8 months have been eye-opening for us: in the whirlwind of uncertainty and changes that were taking place, there were moments where we felt lost, questioned our path and the spirit of our group. We played in a handful of different formations, with different instrumentalists and musicians, enjoying the moment, but also clinging to the spirit so many of you fell in love with over the years. But through all of that chaos and uncertainty, we emerged stronger and more confident in who we are and what we represent...
This tour will have the quintessential Trouble Notes Trio spirit. More Violins, Less Violence is packed with the virtuosity and energy that we have become known for! It has songs from our new album Liberty Awaits, but still features much of the repertoire that brought you to us in the first place. Grand Masquerade, Gypsy Train, Rocky Roads to Republique, Super Bloom, Boddah, Bayou Blues... some of these early tunes have their origins in North America, and we are excited to bring them "Home"!
