NASA launched a probe called Mars InSight with the aim of exploring the interior of Mars, after decades of studying its surface. This mission is part of the 'Discovery Program' and will analyze the cortex, mantle and core of it.

With this research, NASA scientists want to find answers about the early formation of rocky planets in this solar system, such as Earth, Venus and Mars. For this, the probe will take into account temperature, pulse and reflection (precision tracking).

The probe weighs 360 kilograms, and is the number 21 launched by the United States to explore Mars. This time, it is equipped with instruments to detect planetary seismic movements to measure tectonic activity and meteorite impacts on Mars.
