2 kilos each a day ,16% protein nut , 265 euro per tonne, roughly 50 cent per day per head, 2kg along with hay or silage is enough to maintain a cow but beef cattle when being fattened can eat anything from 6kg to 15kg per day depending on age, size and finishing system, young cattle are usually fed 2 to 3 kg a day to insure a good growth rate.
