It's the start of March. This can be but also can not be a spring month here in Estonia. It really depends on the year and how this month turns out.
I wanted to go on a walk on the nearby field and also pay attention to some small details if I could find any indication that the spring was upon us already. Pretty quickly into the walk, I realized that yeah... there are no real signs of spring, it's still too early. The weather is cloudy and gloomy and colorless
When we have sunny days then the mid-day sun really gives off some good warmth already which feels so good but it was not the case today. Finding no obvious signs of nature waking up didn't stop me from not looking any further.
I found a bit of greenery inside the hay on the field but I'm pretty sure that these are the remnants of plants from the last year and not a new growth.
The biggest signs of the spring I found were the willow trees and the soft growths that start blooming with the first warmer days. I don't even know how you call these in English hehe.
I also heard some birds chirping that are not there in the deep winter months, I guess this is also a subtle sign of season changing. It's a pretty calming activity to go out in nature and try to notice these very small details about everything.

It's only uphill from here and I can't wait for the real warm days and sunshine. It feels so good after all this darkness we have had for the last 4 months.
