Thanks to a new natural diversion from the Mississippi River, outflowing sediment is rebuilding marsh and land in this area on the east side of the river across from Buras

These are some great photos of a fresh water diversion off the Mississippi River that is building land and wetlands, exactly what South Louisiana needs to restore its coast. I've saying for a long time that the fresh water diversions are the cheapest and most nature way to restore the wetlands, and the proof is in the photos. Glad to see this, hope that it more public support.

It would be a shame if they didn't take into account that good that that diversion is doing.

There should be a balance between shipping and conservation!

At least no one is saying that the fresh water diversion isn't working.....

Good point, maybe people will put two and two together.

I like the photos, can really see what is going on down there.
