Madu River in Sri Lanka known to have 64 islands but only few can be visible to a normal visitor. It also known have 303 species of plants and 248 spices of vertebrate animals. So, I decided to see all these when I went Sri Lank last time. A friend helped us and had to use a smaller boat hence we must go through mangrove forest.
We started our journey towards the mangrove forest. The island were in the other side of this forest.
It was very dark. We are inside a mangrove forest. Wish I had a flash light but my friend told me nothing to worry because they know the path and they have gone through here so many times.
After few minutes we came to an exit.
We could not believe what we saw.
It is true there are so many isolated islands. Few we could find few people living but most of them are not.
No one could answer who and when build this one. Looks like a place of worship or a temple long time ago.
