The hebrew name of the dice snake, translates to "plaid water snake" :)
I was walking around a rain-water pond nearby, looking for turtles and maybe interesting birds, and all of a sudden I noticed this gem right about a meter or two away!
The dice snake eats frogs and insects, and it does not bite, in fact it is completely harmless to humans beside it's ability to release a black, paste-like stuff that stinks like hell!
I took a bounch of photos, I'll upload the best 2 - a closeup followed by a full body shot.
