Hi sew mates so today I'm gonna be sharing my journey so far as an apprentice tailor, it hasn't been easy but God got me going.
When I first started learning tailoring, I honestly didn’t know what I was getting into. I just knew I had a love for creativity ans for turning plain fabric into something that makes people smile.
The early days weren’t easy. My stitches were shaky, I made plenty of mistakes, and I got more needle pricks than I care to admit. But with time, patience, and guidance, I began to improve.
I learned that tailoring isn’t just about sewing it’s about understanding people’s taste, measuring carefully, and putting enough effort and love into every stitch. There’s a certain joy that comes from seeing someone wear something you made with your own hands.
For instance the process of making this overlap gown. Ranging from the pattern drafting to cutting the fabrics doen to sewing, zip installation and of course finishing, its all fun and hectic and stressful and all that stuffs you know, but i still did it and im happy for the results

Every day in the shop teaches me something new, ranging from cutting patterns to , from dealing with customers to keeping the workspace neat. It’s a journey of growth, discipline, and self-belief.
I’m still an apprentice, still learning, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. One day, I’ll have my own brand, my own shop, and maybe even train others too.
For now, I’m taking it one stitch at a time. So far, so good. 🧵✨
