US billions of dollars of Soviet-style weapons for Syrian rebels

in #new7 years ago

The Pentagon provided $ 2.2 billion in Soviet-style Soviet-style ammunition and ammunition to Syrian opposition rebels, a joint investigation by the Center for the Study of Corruption (OCCRP) and Organized Crime and the Network Balkan correspondent survey (BIRN) shows.
The OCCRP Center, funded by the US Treasury, US State Department, and George Soros billionaire investor, wrote that the Pentagon had hired "an entire army" of large and small contractors - There are companies involved with criminal organizations. According to the report, because defense companies in the Balkans and Eastern European countries were unable to meet demand, the United States Department of Defense required suppliers from Kazakhstan, Georgia and Ukraine. and reduce production requirements.

Investigators have rebuilt complex weapons supply systems to Syria on the basis of shopping documents, ship tracking data systems, official reports, e-mails and interviews with private sources. This program was conducted separately with the closed CIA program to equip arms for rebels against Syrian President Bashar Assad.
The report found that the Pentagon purchased arms through two channels: through the Special Operations Command (SOCOM), overseeing special operations in all US Armed Forces services and via Picatinny Arsenal, a little-known military research and production organization in New Jersey. Equipment is shipped by sea and air from Europe to Turkey, Jordan and Kuwait. Then, on the plane or truck, it was shipped to US allies in the north and south of Syria.

I'm susprised that this information isn't mainstream yet. Everybody still believes that the US are the good guys fighting evil. While this is partially true, the US government also creates, funds, trains and supports various groups they're fighting themselves.

Steem on!
