I'm not sure about it being complex. I think everything that you come across first will be complex to understand but later on, you'll get the hang of it. No need to learn everything the first time. Study about it, wait a day, then study again.
That's how I managed to understand few things here in Hive, but not everything yet.
Anyways, your introduction post doesn't need to be in a community. It's just fine as it is now.
